Projects

Over the years, Tech has been conducting cutting-edge research projects that has led to great impacts on businesses and science at large. Those projects also enabled Tech to establish strong collaboration platforms with new global industries and form new strategic partnerships. The list of these projects are described below.

Exploit4InnoMat

Exploit4InnoMat

Details

An Open Innovation Ecosystem for exploitation of materials for building envelopes towards zero energy buildings funded by by the European Commission Horizon Europe Scheme (total funding €11.7M). Tech Inspire is joining the consortium as associated partner and will be funded by the Innovate UK, Horizon Europe Guarantee Scheme
Exploit4InnoMat project aims to support the deployment of the nZEB (near Zero Energy Building) new standard by developing high-end Open Innovation Testbed (OITB) network for building envelops including roofs and facades, enabling the replication of prototypes in different buildings taking into consideration the trade-offs between the three sustainability pillars, the life cycle stages as well as their impacts. The project will assess the end-User Market Needs for low-cost, flexible, on demand material-based solutions through an extensive partnership knowledge on materials characterization and modelling, monitoring and process control, environmental and assessment, regulatory and standardization, social acceptance and innovation management.

ENFLATE

ENFLATE

Details

ENabling FLexibility provision by all Actors and sectors through markets and digital TEchnologies funded by the European Commission Horizon Europe Scheme (total funding €7.6M). Tech Inspire is joining the consortium as associated partner and will be funded by the Innovate UK, Horizon Europe Guarantee Scheme
ENFLATE project will build upon existing solutions on data drivel energy services and non-energy services, and replicate them in different geographies, climate and consumer needs. It will propose applicable consumer-centered flexibility platforms and test them in Bulgaria, Greece, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland engaging local consumers, TSOs, DSOs, market operators, regulatory authorities, service providers, manufacturers, academia. It will provide smart grid innovative technologies, peer-to-peer market platforms for consumers, smart building and local community cross vector flexibility services, integration of consumer centered flexibility with pan European spot markets
